Kamrunag Lake is situated amid green pastures at an altitude of around 3300 meters in District Mandi of Himachal Pradesh. If you are enthusiastic about visiting virgin peaks with little or no pollution at all, Kamarunag is one of the best destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Relatively less known Himalayan trek, Kamrunag is not even listed well in the official tourism websites of Himachal Pradesh. Like all other lakes in Himachal Pradesh, Kamarunag or Kumarwah Lake has its own legend.
The lake is completely frozen in winters and only experienced trekkers should go there during this time of year. Reach at the top and see Mother Nature at its best! Walking on the frozen lake and a slide along the slanting snowy surfaces can be a pleasant experience to anyone. For new trekkers, it is advisable to visit Kamarunag during summers.
All the way to Kamarunag you will be enjoying the breathtaking views of snow clad Dhauladhar ranges and Balh Valley. Do not expect the modern amenities to be present anywhere close to the Kamarunag Lake. It is one of the lakes in Himachal Pradesh where you can actually find yourself in the wild.

Hw can I reach jalpa mata temple from chail chowk??
Very nice spot
Jalpa Mata Temple is about 15km from chail chowk. The road from Chail Chowk to Jalpa Mata Temple is in good condition (except the last 1-2km stretch). You can hire a taxi (should cost around 300-500 rupees for a two way trip) or board a bus to reach Kukkadigalu (from this point, you will have to trek straight uphill for about 30-60 min (depends upon your stamina). Carry your own eatables. There are no shops on the route. There is just one shop near the temple but there is no guarantee it will be open.
